It is a fact that eventually every oil storage tank will split and/or leak its contents; unfortunately nether steel or plastic oil storage tanks can be repaired. At Oil 4 Wales we offer a range of tanks from domestic through to fuel station units.
The majority of domestic tanks installed in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's are single skinned and are now starting to develop splits, requiring replacement. Single skin tanks are also prone to condensation which can lead to a build-up of water in your tank. If the level should rise to the outlet this can cause unnecessary costly repair bills for your boiler or even freeze the oil line during the cold winter months.
Plastic tanks will often split whereas Steel tanks eventually corode, often from the inside, at the base of the tank.

- Pump off the contents of your tank into a temporary holding tank so that the leak is stopped, and your oil saved does not leave the premises
