Throughout December we’ve been getting in the festive spirit by catching up with some of our celebrity ambassadors.

Here we put 20 burning questions to former Wales rugby player Scott Quinnell.

Find out which Christmas film he watches every year, why beans on toast brought him good luck, and why he can’t get enough of Dolly Parton!

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievements is my three children.

Have you started your Christmas shopping?

No I haven’t yet, but I’ve got my oil sorted.

What’s your favourite part of Christmas?

Being able to wear my pyjamas all day.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

The Holiday, I watch it every year.

Did you used to get nervous ahead of big games?

Yes I did, I think if you don’t get nervous you don’t care all that much.

Did you have any unusual pre-game rituals?

On game days I always had beans on toast in the morning.

What is your go-to comfort food?

Indian, I always order chicken jalfrezi, a keema naan, and onion bhajis.

What band/musician are you into at the moment?

I’ve always really liked Dolly Parton.

Which former players do you socialise with most and what do you tend to get up to?

I work for Sky now, so all the boys who also work for Sky, amd I always see some of the players while doing Oil 4 Wales appearances and autograph signings.

I’m a Celebrity has been back on TV, do you think you could ever go into the jungle or do reality TV?

I would like to do it, it would be nice to lose a few pounds before Christmas.

What are you currently binge watching on Netflix/TV?

I’ve just finished Better Call Saul, I’m watching Designated Survivor now, and Peaky Blinders is great too.

What’s your favourite tipple?

Blackcurrant and soda water.

What was the last book you read?

The Ramanov Ransom, by Clive Cussler.

Who is your sporting hero?

Arnold Schwarzenegger.

If you weren’t a rugby player, what would you be doing?

I’d have been a fire man, I always wanted to drive the big red truck.

If you could invite any three people round to dinner (dead or alive) who would they be?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Freddie Mercury, and Tom Kerridge – he could cook!

Apart from rugby, what other sports do you enjoy?

Golf.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I love cooking.

Why is it great to be an ambassador for Oil 4 Wales?

Oil 4 Wales is a fantastic company with a great team ethos. Colin has given a huge amount back to rugby and to communities, and always has a smile on his face.

What are you most looking forward to in 2018?

Better weather for golf.
