They join us at our charity events, they get involved with our community projects, and you will definitely see them popping up on our social media quite a lot, too!

George North

George North is a professional rugby player who plays for the Ospreys and the Wales national team and has also represented the British & Irish Lions. He has over 100 caps for Wales.

Dan Lydiate

Dan Lydiate is a Dragons flanker and holds 72 caps for Wales. He represented the British and Irish Lions in 2013. He looks forward to being a ‘future farmer’ and spends a lot of time at various charity events with Oil 4 Wales.

Gareth Davies

Scarlets player Gareth Davies proudly represents Wales and the British & Irish Lions. He gained the most metres (293) and beat the most defenders (13) of any scrum half at the 2019 World Cup.

Ken Owens

Ken Owens, the man affectionately known as the ‘Sheriff ‘, is Wales’ most capped hooker. The Scarlets player was named the coaches and fans ‘Player of the Season’ at the Scarlets in 2018/19.

Scott Quinnell

Scott Quinnell is a former Rugby Union and Rugby League Player who now works in the media. Scott played for Wales 52 times and scored 12 tries. He also played for the Barbarians and went on 2 British & Irish Lions tours in 1997 and 2001. 

Leigh Halfpenny

Leigh Halfpenny is a Wales international rugby player who plays for the Scarlets,  British & Irish Lions and has over 100 caps for Wales. Leigh will fit some Oil 4 Wales events in around his recent signing to the New Zealand Crusaders.

Neil Jenkins

“Just a normal working class guy at the end of the day” – Neil Jenkins is a current rugby union coach and used to play for various Welsh and Irish teams back at the peak of his rugby playing career!

Max Boyce

Comedian, singer, entertainer – Max Boyce is multi-talented Welsh performer with a passion for storytelling and, of course, rugby! You may see him on TV or on some kind of stage anywhere in the world!

Wynne Evans

Wynne Evans, is a Welsh singer and radio presenter, known for his role as Gio Compario in the Gocompare.com insurance adverts on TV. Wynne is also a Celebrity Masterchef Champion! 

Dan Biggar

The youngest player to reach 100 games, winner of the BBC Cymru Sports Personality of the Year Award – Dan retired from International rugby in 2023 and currently plays for Toulon in France. He can now be seen as a pundit for Wales on ITV.

Wyn Jones

Wyn Jones is a Wales international rugby player who plays for the Scarlets as a prop. Wyn made his debut for the Scarlets regional team in 2014 having previously played for Llandovery RFC over 70 times and has 48 caps for Wales. 

Anwen Butten

Anwen plays Lawn Bowls for Wales and at the latest Commonwealth Games she was Wales team captain. Outside of lawn bowls, Anwen works as a Head and Neck Cancer Specialist for Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Liam Williams

Liam is a formed scaffolder who turned into a full-time professional rugby player in 2011. He has 89 caps for Wales and featured in the Welsh team at the 2023 Rugby World cup.

Robin McBryde

Bangor-born Robin McBryde is the forwards coach to the Wales National squad. He is also a WRU National Skills Coach, providing specialist coaching to Wales’s young talent in the regional academies. Former hooker McBryde made 37 capped appearances for Wales during an international career spanning 11 years.

Louis Rees-Zammit

Zammit received his first call up for Wales in the Six Nations 2020. He has 32 caps for Wales and featured in the 2021 British & Irish Lions squad.

Ryan Elias

Ryan Elias followed in the footsteps of his Scarlets skipper and fellow Oil 4 Wales Brand Ambassador Ken Owens from the junior ranks of Carmarthen Athletic and Ysgol Bro Myrddin into the regional set-up. He then made 45 appearances for Carmarthen Quins between 2013-16 in the Welsh Premiership. He currently has 40 caps for Wales and is included in the 2024 Six Nations squad.

Tommy Reffell

Reffell serves as a key player for the Leicester Tigers and is a valued member of the Welsh national team. He captained both Wales U18 and U20. He currently has 15 caps for Wales. 

Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones retired from playing as Wales’ most capped back having made 104 appearances between 1998-2011. In that time he won two Grand Slams (2005, 2008) and played at four World Cups (1999, 2003, 2007, 2011). He also captained his country eight times. He finally hung up his boots at the end of the 2012-13 season and has now moved into coaching.

Rhys Patchell

Rhys is a Wales international rugby player who plays for the Highlanders having previously played for the Scarlets and Cardiff Blues. Patchell represented Wales on 22 occasions between 2013 and 2023.

Kieran Hardy

Kieran Hardy is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays as a scrum-half for United Rugby Championship club Scarlets and the Wales national team. He has featured in the Welsh Six Nations team each year from 2020 to 2024.

Sam Costelow

Sam plays as a fly-half for the Scarlets and the Wales national team. Costelow stood out during the 2020 Six Nations Under 20s Championship putting in a Man of the Match performance against England and will feature for Wales in the 2024 Six Nations championship.

Steff Evans

Steff won international honours for Wales at U18 and 20 levels and is a graduate of the Scarlets Academy. He is a fluent Welsh speaker and has been dubbed Welsh rugby’s answer to Harry Kane.

Josh Macleod

Josh is a Scarlets academy graduate and was voted as the Scarlets best defensive player in the 2018-19 season. He made 3 appearances for Wales U20 and featured in the Welsh squad for the 2022 Autumn series.
