Oil 4 Wales has installed one of the country’s biggest capacity tanks to help support the flourishing Welsh slate industry.

Our expert team has installed a 60,000 litre capacity, environmentally friendly fuel station at Penrhyn Quarry in North Wales to help support the progression of Welsh Slate Ltd. Working in conjunction with manufacturer Kingspan, we installed the specialist Diesel Pro tank, which weighed over 10 tonnes.

The installation will enable the slate company to continue producing more of its industry-leading Welsh product.
Oil 4 Wales’ installation expert Rick Hall, who supported the project, said it was “one of the biggest tanks installed across the country”.

He said: “This was Oil 4 Wales’ largest install to date and was a huge success.
“It was a significant operation incorporating a host of local businesses to help install this sizeable tank.
“Working alongside them we were able to achieve great results for Welsh Slate and carry out an expert installation on an unprecedented scale.

“This demonstrates the expertise and versatility of our installers who are always willing to go the extra mile to support the community.”

Oil 4 Wales managing director and founder Colin Owens said the project highlighted the brand’s commitment to supporting the progression of Welsh business.

He said: “Oil 4 Wales is a family-run company, which exists for the benefit of the communities of Wales, so we are proud to have been able to support a fellow national brand.

“This new tank will greatly enhance production for Welsh Slate and we were delighted to have played a role in their continued success.

“As a proud Welsh business, we feel it is vital to work with local companies and suppliers to ensure the continuation of the Welsh economy. We also feel this community-focussed approach will ensure our customers get the best service which is tailored to their needs.”
