An oil depot in Powys has invested £300,000 in its facilities making it easier for the local community to access its fuel services.
Independent oil distributor Oil 4 Wales has upgraded the depot’s facilities and rebranded it from Powys Petroleum merging it into the wider family-run business.
The depot is now fully bottom loading allowing the local farming community to pick up fuel on the pump.
Oil 4 Wales has also invested in its fleet in order to provide greater efficiency and reliability to its service for customers in the area.
Powys Petroleum was acquired by Oil 4 Wales in 2015 in order to grow its presence in Powys. It employs three office-based staff and four drivers and is one of seven depots owned and operated by Oil 4 Wales.
Colin Owens, managing director of Oil 4 Wales, said: “Since welcoming Powys Petroleum into the Oil 4 Wales family, we have invested in the depot and our fleet in order to serve the Powys community more efficiently.
“Having bedded in the company over the last year, the time felt right to rebrand and merge the trading name into Oil 4 Wales.
“We are confident that the improved facility will benefit the Powys community and look forward to continuing to provide an excellent and cost effective service.”
Since it was founded in 2010, Oil 4 Wales has been well supported by those keen to see the success of a truly independent Welsh oil brand.
It supplies 65,000 domestic and commercial customers across Wales with a range of fuel services and hosts community events across the country alongside its brand ambassadors – rugby players Rob Evans, Ken Owens, Jonathan Davies, Dan Biggar, and Dan Lydiate and TV farmer Gareth Wyn Jones.
It is fuel accredited by the FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers) and is one of >span >18 Welsh companies included in the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.
