Crowds of rugby fans queued up to meet their idols at a special ‘meet and greet’ session at Oil 4 Wales in Milford Haven this Easter (2014).
Oil 4 Wales ambassadors Jonathan Davies, Rhys Priestland, Ken Owens, Dafydd Jones and Welsh kicking coach, Neil Jenkins took time out of training to sign autographs and pose for photos.
The ‘meet and greet’ was organised by family run business Oil 4 Wales to celebrate the acquisition of the fuel depot from Silvey Oil, which is located on the Main Road in Waterston by Coast to Coast Caravans.
Teas, coffees and soft drinks were available from the Oil 4 Wales trailer and Radio Pembrokeshire broadcasted live from the event, which included interviews with all of the past and present players.
As well as meeting the Welsh rugby stars, fans had the opportunity to participate in a ‘spin the ball’ competition to win tickets to see Wales take on Australia in Cardiff during the Autumn International series and win a signed Scarlets rugby ball.
Jack Hunter, age eleven, from Haverfordwest won the pair of rugby tickets and Harry Phillips, age six, from Cardiff won the signed Scarlets rugby ball.
Wales and Llanelli Scarlets hooker, Ken Owens, said: “It’s always a good experience getting out and about in the local community and meeting our fans. Oil 4 Wales is a great company to be involved with, as, like us, Colin and the team are just as passionate about Wales and supporting the local community. We hope everyone had an enjoyable day.”
